Craps! Make your Vegas picks here!

4:45 Sunday green flag.
1. Click on the comments section of this post.
2. Type in your name, your three car numbers, and the three drivers
3. Under choose an identity, choose 'Name/URL'
4. Type in your name, leave URL blank
5. Click to submit your comments.

All picks must be in by the green flag. And remember, it hasn't happened yet, but make sure your car numbers match the driver. If there is an error, we take the CAR NUMBER as your pick. Don't get upset if you want Kenseth but you put Dick Trickle's car number...it will happen sooner or later.

Good luck to everyone! If you have trouble putting in picks, email me at geoffcheek@yahoo.com

And one more reminder, if anyone has NASCAR pictures they want to post up here other suggestions for the site, let me know.

What up, Cali! Make your Fontana picks here!

Sunday evening race, ladies and gentlemen, on the West Coast. While the bloods and the crips battle in the streets and Governor Schwarzenegger battles the budget in Sacramento, 43 little fast cars will duke it out on the track. Make your picks now:

1. Click on the Comments section of this post - please make sure you are clicking on THIS post.
2. Type in your NAME, your three CAR NUMBERS, and the three DRIVERS of those cars. All of this information is required.
3. Under the 'choose an identity', click on NAME/URL. Type in your name and leave the URL field blank.
4. Click to submit your comments.

All picks will be posted after the drop of the green flag. Picks must be in by the time the race starts. If you don't post picks, we will use your same three cars from the last time you posted. In this case, Daytona.

Also, feel free to talk it up a bit on your posts. I'm anti-censorship so just about anything gets posted. Let's get some internal rivalries going here!

Good luck!

DAYTONA RESULTS!

Yikes. What a rought start for everyone! Special shout out to Dale Jr. for destroying the great American race by trying to win with 75 laps to go. Little did he know, he could have passed someone with about 45 laps to go and won when the rain came down! Will the pressure get to Jr. this year and make him drive like a lunatic all season? I guess we'll find out.

Here are the results from the first race:

1. Sonny - 446
2. Todd - 396
3. Geoff - 378
4. Shirley - 367
5. JJ - 360
5. Johnny - 360
7. Chuck - 346
8. Gregg - 337
9. Robert - 326
10. Donald - 322
11. Steve - 299
12. Rocky - 299
13. Bubba - 298
14. Pete - 298
15. Jack - 283
16. Jarrett - 279
17. Nikki - 263
18. Donnie - 263
19. Josh/Marissa - 259
20. Steven - 204

Looks like we're all going to be allowed one bad week, but last year showed you can't really have TWO bad weeks. Let's hope we can all turn it around. Congrats to Sonny for starting out with a bang and a 50 point lead!

Daytona 500 - Lap 124-125 Crash

While we're waiting on the folks at NASCAR to finalize the results and make them official, here's the wreck at Lap 125 that ruined most of our days...

GO GREEN! Make your Daytona 500 Picks Here!

First race of the year! Make sure to check out the new features of the site, including the highlights of the Bud Shootout last week at the bottom of the page.

Here are the steps to submit your picks:
1. At the bottom of this post, you can click on Comments. Click this.
2. In the popup comment box, type in your name, the three car numbers you want to pick this week, and the drivers of those three cars. Check over and make sure of your picks because the CAR NUMBER is priority if there is an error between the two.
3. Under the 'Choose an Identity', click on Name/URL and type your name (leave URL blank).
4. Click to Submit Your Comments and you're done.

All picks will remain hidden until the drop of the green flag. If you have trouble leaving picks/comments, email me at geoffcheek@yahoo.com

Good luck! And remember that even though it's a marathon and not a sprint this season, you still don't want to start with three drivers outside the top 10!

New Season, New Players

Well, well, well, a long winter is over and now we're merely 48 hours from the green flag in Daytona! Here's the list of people we have signed up for the new season:
Steve Ricker
Shirley Ricker
Steven Ricker Jr
Amy Ricker
Robert Thompson
Nikki Ricker
Pete Knight
JJ Driggers
Geoff Cheek
Johnny Love
Jarrett cook
Chuck Layton
Sonny Driggers
Todd Gross
Marissa Morton & Josh Cope
Jack Christy

And I understand we're still waiting on a few more between now and Sunday afternoon. I vow to keep a closer watch on the site this year, get picks posted up right after the green flag and get the results up midweek. We're also adding some new features, such as YouTube highlights right in the middle of the site, more photos, and hopefully a league logo. Any advice or suggestions are more than welcome. I know very little about websites so chime in with any input.

I'll get another post up with the how-to guide of putting in picks. It is quite simple, really, as I'll create a new post each Friday for people to submit picks by adding a comment to my post. You will put in your name, your three car numbers, and their drivers. Make sure to read over all the rules prior to Daytona, as well, so we don't have any issues mid-season. The biggest one is if you put a car number and a different driver's name. In this case, it is the CAR NUMBER that takes precedent. Make sure to check over your picks before submitting them, because this happened half a dozen times last year and people that wanted Tony Stewart as a car accidentally ended up with Dick Trickle's car because they put the wrong car number.

Enough rambling. Let's drop the green flag and get this started. Good luck to everyone!
